Role: (REMOTE) Enterprise Monitoring Engineer/Reliability Engineer Location: (REMOTE) Norfolk, VA Schedule: 40 hours / week Overview: It is a technology services firm, has an immediate opening for an Enterprise Monitoring Engineer/Reliability Engineer to work remotely. The Engineer will join our clients team to develop a solution to bring full stack observability to the enterprise using Dynatrace, as well as bring observability into Layer 2/3 components. This individual will partner with Storage, Network, and Middleware tiers to define Service Level Indicators (SLIs.) and design Python modules using the Dynatrace SDK to collect SLI Metrics. They will also build interfaces into Infrastructure Components using APIs, SDKs, or SNMP Polls. Common Infrastructure Components used include, but are not limited to Netapp, EMC Vmax, Infoblox, Brocade Fiber Switches, and Arista/Cisco switches. systems engineer qualifications: Strong Enterprise Monitoring is required to design and develop Python modules to execute on Dynatrace Active Gates to collect key metric information. Previous experience developing Python Modules to reside on Dynatrace ActiveGates to pull infrastructure monitoring metrics from Storage Arrays, Fabric Switches, and other infrastructure appliances is required. Approximately 10 years of experience with Enterprise Monitoring tools. Dynatrace/APMG Required 3 years of previous experience with Python -Multi-threaded Python application Experience with Python Generator or Iterator required, as well as Pythons Context Manager Must have Linux experience and experience with Linux running process Previous experience with Kubernetes and GIT Version Control Experience with VMWARE Virtual machine Prior experience with NFS/CIFS TCP and UDP experience required.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
