Job Description Developer: Java Developer, Use Case Analysis, Monitoring, J2EE JBOSS SOA Oracle 11g R2 Databases T

Responsibilities

Are you a tech & IT geek? We have a 24-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Java Developer, Expert

Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to:

Collaborate with other developers and business analysis staff in Joint Application Development sessions to assist in the formulation
of Use Case analysis deliverables.
Interpret Use Case requirements, and estimate, propose, prototype and develop a solution that integrates within the existing
technology stack and framework.
Design Java Application Modules in accordance to best practices and latest trends in Java programming.
Review the NYS ITS programming and architecture standards and best practices, and conduct technical reviews of the application
code to ensure compliance.
Provide recommendations on implementation strategies utilizing the following technologies: J2EE, Javascript, Hibernate, Struts 2, Maven, JBoss/Wildfly Enterprise Application Server, Junit, SOA web services, Red Hat Apache webserver, Linux, and Oracle.
Provide application development expertise and mentoring to State staff and other contract resources as required on above technologies
Resolve end-user support/problems regarding ASSETS and DCSE applications.
Participate in Joint Application Development session to assist in the formulation of Use Case analysis deliverables.
Interpret Use Case requirements, seek clarification from Business Analysts as needed and estimate, propose, prototype and develop a solution that integrates within the existing ASSETS technology stack and framework.
Provide J2EE, JBoss Enterprise Application Server, SOA web services, Oracle 11g, Unisys Mainframe Transaction Management (DTPRA) application development expertise and mentoring to State staff and other contract resources as required.
Provide work breakdown structures to articulate tasks, level of effort and dependencies between tasks and report progress.
Provide troubleshooting and end-user support/problem resolution when necessary.
Provide technical documentation, solution prototypes, conduct demonstrations of work in progress and completed work to business subject matter experts and other technical staff as requested/required.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Creates computer software. May specialize in one area of computer software or may write code for many kinds of software.
84+ Months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Preferred Qualifications:

84 months experience with writing Java application software for data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, testing, and technical documentation.
Masters in Computer Science Degree
48 months experience working with EJB 3.x
84 months experience working with and implementing Struts 2 Framework
24 months experience working with and implementing Struts 1 Framework
84 months experience with application of J2EE design patterns to solve complex business problems.
84 months experience with use of Hibernate.
84 months experience programming in using JUnit.
84 months experience with the configuration of Maven.
84 months experience analyzing business processes and workflows and working with non-technical staff to develop system specifications and resolve problems.
