This position will be based out of the downtown Minneapolis office or in the St. Cloud Minnesota office; however, applicant must be willing to commute to the St. Cloud office or the Minneapolis office as business needs dictate. Essential Duties and responsibilities • Demonstrates ability to apply quality control principles and theories. • Under minimal direction of management or team lead, performs quality control duties that are broad in scope. • Use HP/Mercury Quality Center to manage manual test cases and reports. • Design and development of detailed testing plan(s) and then integrate them with the project schedule. • Analyze, interpret, and summarize test data and metrics, and communicate the results to project team, stakeholders, and management. • Prepares testing estimates for proposed application releases. • Champions and applies the risk-based testing approach. • Provides input to, or participates in, process improvement. • Empowers self to make effective and efficient decisions. • Capable of prioritizing tasks according to assigned risk. • Solves intermediate-level issues in the best interest of the organization. • Responsible for own project-related deadlines. • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple priorities. • Consistently demonstrates strong team and individual performance. • Work as part of a self-directed team in which tasks are self-determined or specifically assigned. • Builds positive and effective relationships with individuals both internal and external to the organization. • Embodies a personal code of conduct and leads by example. • At managers discretion, perform other non-specified tasks as assigned Job Qualifications · Four year Bachelor degree, preferably in an analytical or technical-related field or equivalent work experience. · A minimum of 3-4 years overall experience in the SDLC with hands-on exposure to design, coding and testing. · Strong testing experience preferred, including Test Management, Manual tools and Test Processes. • Effective written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences including software development teams, technical support, end-users, management, etc. • Effective organization and time management skills. • Strong technical aptitude. Must be able to identify, analyze and solve problems. • Practical knowledge and experience in all phases of QC and release management processes and systems. • Understands risk-based testing approach. • Strong bias for action and passion for taking initiative, accepting personal responsibility to deliver on commitments, having the courage to raise issues and proactively working to resolve issues and remove barriers in a timely manner. • Moderate to high level of knowledge/competencies with tools related to product development. • Exposure to SQL programming and database technologies. • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Exposure to .NET and J2EE technology platforms. • Exposure to XML/XSLT/XMLSchema/XQuery. • Exposure to the Mercury Suite of testing tools or other test management/automation tools. • Banking and Finance or insurance industry knowledge preferred. • L   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
