The existing system is not as user-friendly as our client would like, so they are looking for a Solutions Architect to evaluate what the system does, its technology, user interface, usability, and provide an assessment as to whether to keep the existing system and make modifications to it, or to implement a whole new system altogether. The current system is written in .NET 4.0 with a SQL Server 2008 backend. The ideal candidate must be able to evaluate the efficacy and challenges of the current system and determine next steps. This will involve interaction with several user groups. Candidate must be technical enough to grasp the technical issues that the users are encountering with the current system. The ideal candidate will possess strong documentation skills as well. The ideal candidate will have prior experience evaluating an existing system (preferably on .NET 4.0 platform) for its efficacy and usability. Responsibilities: Perform a deep-dive process analysis of the existing system. Develop detailed process documentation detailing the process steps, data input / output and system interactions. Evaluate the current system and map the process steps. Identify gaps. Identify inefficiencies and requirements for additional required functionality.
