Description :
Client is currently seeking an expert application developers to perform the analysis, design, and programming needed to maintain, enhance, or develop computer systems that support State Fund and Self-Insured claims management applications.

Roles/Responsibilities :
* Code and thoroughly unit test application programs using agency system and programming standards.
* Developing test data, and thoroughly testing the application programs.
* It is essential that the candidates in Category 15 have current web development experience with a high degree of expertise in Object Oriented programming construction using VB.Net, ASP.Net, Visual Studio.NET, Java script, XML, HTML, Microsoft Internet Server, SQL Server, WebSphere MQ Series, Microsofts message queuing (MSMQ), MQ series Adapter.
* Expertise in Secure Access Washington (SAW), SQL 2005, SQL 2008, .NET 2.0, data protection software for encryption / decryption, Visual Source Safe (VSS), TFS, Nunit (software that is used to set up and test each function separately), Ndoc (software documentation for each VB function), security that must be used per application (EAI and SQL), knowledge of application development tiered environments and application movement and the application security standards and procedures are desirable.
* Augment the resources of the Claims Applications core team.
* Support agency initiatives for new IT development, to include but not limited to:
* E- Government
* Development of reporting to support the project
* System enhancements required by the legislation
* Support regular and historical maintenance requirements for eleven applications for the Insurance Services division.
* Conducting analysis or gathering information with L&I staff.
* Seeking input or direction from the L&I staff or management.
* Development of any criteria for decision making or choosing among options.
* Peer review and feedback on work assignments.
* Preparing materials, demo system, or data for presentations.
* Maintenance of a work plan.
* When requested, participation in meetings and teleconferences with the L&I staff.
* Sharing knowledge with the L&I employees, including knowledge transfer to FTE technical staff and coaching or mentoring business area customers is required on all work completed.

Required Skills :
* Strong knowledge of the .Net Framework Class Libraries
* Experience with Service Oriented Architecture
* Experience with application development in ASP.NET, VB.NET and VS.NET
* Experience with MS SQL Server 2005 or higher
* Team Foundation Server in and Enterprise environment
* Experience with ASP.NET web forms, base controls, user controls, server controls, custom controls
* Experience using HTML and Javascript
* Experience developing mainframe applications and .NET components that interface with web applications through messaging technologies.
* Experience in developing enterprise class applications.
* Experience in n-tier software architecture and development.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written, visual and oral formats with project teams, internal and external business and technical representatives, and executive management.
* Systems Analysis, Design and Development in Windows
* Experience in Object Oriented Design
* Experience in N-Tier software architecture and development
* Experience with XML.
* Experience with Web-based workflow/Business Process Management applications

Desirable Skills :
* Experience using Crystal Reports for report generation
* Experience integrating/implementing outbound correspondence systems
* Experience with secure file transfer
