The primary responsibility of this position will be overseeing critical storage operations involving multiple EMC and Netapp storage devices impacting thousands of servers in multiple locations. The primary responsibility of this position is to be a technical expert for the storage and backup team, support critical initiatives and projects, research new technologies, develop and guide insightful strategies in the areas of storage and backup/data protection, prototype, develop and implement next generation backup and storage technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both storage and backup (conceptually and hands-on) in SAN and NAS design, SAN zoning, LUN masking, fibre channel protocol, iSCSI and FCoE. The ideal candidate has ability to lead and manage large projects, drive advanced technical architecture, manage the corresponding financials, and ensure conformance to the current and future business requirements. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience with storage products from EMC, Netapp and Symantec products and function as a subject matter expert. Job Responsibilities Provides technical leadership and is responsible for the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be a delivered on an ongoing basis. Responsible for ongoing management of configuration and layout of storage infrastructure. Assist with defining IT strategy and architecture standards and drive projects to adhere to these standards Perform detailed resource planning for vendors and IT teams based on the prioritized project list Ability to manage multiple simultaneous strategic projects and large-scale initiatives including business continuity and high availability for mission critical applications. Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with EMC and NetApp best practices and, Company change management policies. Designs data migration architecture as required. Responsible for Runbook Design, Development, and ongoing updates. Responsible for ongoing recommendations and best practices, as applicable, for the following areas: Business Continuity, High Availability, Backup, Recovery and Archiving. Responsible for Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning and design as applicable. Define, document and manage data lifecycle. Provides ITIL Process Planning as applicable. Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable. Rotational 24x7 On-Call Support Basic Qualifications: Qualified candidates must possess the following skills/experience (Examples including but not limited to): 7 Years minimum experience with NetApp and EMC storage technologies is a must. Strong hands on experience on ONTAP 8.x -7 Mode and Cluster mode Hands on experience with local and remote replication using snapshot, Snapmirror, Snapvault and Flexclone Proficiency in configuring and administering zero RPO and low RTO for enterprise mission critical applications using EMC DMX3, VMAX with SRDF-S, SRDF-A Perform data replication, both local and extended distance using EMC, Timefinder/SRDF and Recoverpoint Ability to troubleshoot complex database performance issues Good experience in storage provisioning using SYMCLI, ECC , NavisecCLI, Navispehere and Unisphere for VMAX and VNX storage arrays Highly skilled in Cisco Director Class 9500 series FC SAN switches Ability to troubl   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
