Experience with Symantec NetBackup SW 7.x and Dell EMC Networker 9.x backup utilities to include DE Duplication and library tape management. Experience on Data Domain systems is required. Experience on brocade fabric is required. Must have knowledge of Storage Resource Monitoring (SRM) of heterogeneous SAN storage environment to report usage and trending to provide reports to management on scheduled basis. This position will require specific expertise and experience in managing tasks that involve the engineering, deployment and operations support of SAN infrastructure and backups. Technology Breakdown: 1. SRM: prevention of data loss, 2. decrease of error rates of data replication, and 3. decrease of the analysis time by ensuring that analysis tasks have the storage space to run to completion. Symantec / Netbackup Breakdown: In computing, Veritas NetBackup (called Symantec NetBackup prior to Symantecs divestiture of Veritas) is an enterprise-level heterogeneous backup and recovery suite. It provides cross-platform backup functionality to a large variety of Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems. NetBackup features a central master server, which manages both media servers (containing the backup media) and clients. Core server platforms include Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Tru64, Linux and Windows.
