NEtApp Unix HP UX Microsoft Windows 2008 Oracle SQL Linux EMC Control Center EMC Net   Requirement id 9770 Job title Administrator Job location in Chelsea, MA Skills required NEtApp, Unix, IBM AIX OS, HP UX Microsoft Windows 2008 Oracle SQL Open Date 03-May-2012 Close Date Job type Contract Duration 1 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type Phone Screen and Face to Face interview    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Administrator: NEtApp, Unix, IBM AIX OS, HP UX Microsoft Windows 2008 Oracle SQL [Note: Submission Deadline : 05/10/2012 04:00PM] [Note: End Date : June 30, 2012] [Note: Project(s) Duration : 7 -8 months] [Note: Estimated Units : 1000 hours] Description: Responsibilities: * Provide technical assistance and research for the Direct Access Storage Device (DASD) sub-system that contains the Commonwealths mission critical on-line file. * Perform monitor, archive, data collection, report generation, recovery and backup duties for the DASD sub-system. * Provide technical assistance for data recovery, problem determination, and preventive maintenance. * Assist with the formulation of storage systems scope and objectives through research, analysis, and fact-finding. * Modify data storage processing systems and procedures as directed. * Provide technical assistance for planning, directing and monitoring data storage operations within the department. * Provide technical as well as general support for data processing input/output control activities Required Skills: • Basic understanding of: o NetApp Virtualized Storage capabilities. o Unix (IBM-AIX & HP-UX) computer systems. o Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 operating systems. o Database Systems (Oracle, SQL). o Linux operating systems o Storage tools and utilities. • Working knowledge of and understanding of storage administration concepts and techniques. • Strong working knowledge of and understanding of EMC Symmetrix Systems and EMC Control Center. • Knowledge or basic understanding of CommVault or similar de-dupe backup solution. • Knowledge of Legato Networker environments. • BS computer Science and/or equivalent experience; or EMC storage certification. • Knowledge of data center operations and infrastructure. • Must know how to use MS Word, Excel and Visio. • Knowledge of information processing, hardware and related Operating Systems, Windows and VMware technology, networking concepts, routers, firewalls, network security. • Must have excellent communications skills and be able to express findings and recommendations clearly, to differing levels of management, both verbally and in writing. • Must be familiar with IT business practices and able to interface and integrate with ITD functional areas. • Must have excellent human relations, communications and analysis skills, planning and organizational proficiency and good business judgment. • Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions • Ability to provide periodic oral and written status of work being performed, as necessary. • Must be a self-starter and able to creatively resolve issues as they appear.
