The Network Operations Manager or his designee will assign the specific tasks to be performed under the Work Order(s) resulting from this Work Request. Work performed under this work order must be consistent with the skills outlined in category 10 of the Department of Information Services ITPS contract specifications as follows: • System Administration. • Network Storage, Backup and File Service - Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining network storage, backup and file service systems using VDR, iSCSI SANS, NAS, etc. • Server Virtualization: Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining virtualized server environments using VMWare ESX and ESXi based Host operating systems, and virtual server environments. • Microsoft Windows - Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows 2003, 2008, OS, Microsoft Active Directory and associated components such as GPO, DNS and WINS, MS-SQL 2003, 2005 and 2008. • Exchange, IIS, Citrix and other Back-Office applications and server environments. • Network Security - Experience in providing installation, maintenance, and support for Checkpoint and Cisco firewalls. • Routers & Related Equipment - Experience in providing installation, maintenance and support for Cisco Routers, Cisco and switches and related equipment. • Statewide Network Installation & Support - Experience in providing support for PCs, hardware and software dispersed throughout the State of Washington. • Implementing and maintaining Network Monitoring systems and devices. • Documenting procedures or processes associated with the above Additional Requirements: L&I may assign other vendors and/or L&I staff to work with the Vendor on the same project(s), service requests and initiatives. Contractors will work collaboratively with the L&I staff in activities including, but not limited to: • Conducting research or gathering information with L&I staff • Seeking input or direction from the L&I Core Team and/or L&I management • Development of any criteria for decision making or choosing among options • Peer review and feedback on deliverables • Preparing for L&I or external committee presentations • Delivering L&I or external committee presentations • Scheduling of and participation in meetings and teleconferences with the L&I Core Team or L&I staff. • Weekly time and status reports using a specific format to be provided by the Network Operations Manager. Other reports may also be required. • Sharing knowledge and requirements with the L&I employees and, if requested, recommending resources for L&I employees to use to enhance their knowledge. Preferred Skill Category • Workstation / Network Administration, Citrix Administration and Server Virtualization. Communication of recommendations through formal written analysis or oral presentations. • Analyzing, Troubleshooting and resolving complicated network / application issues in an enterprise network environment to include Active Directory, Server Virtualization LAN / WAN and VOIP. L&I prefers that the Vendor possess substantial corporate knowledge in all of these fields as evidenced by previous contracts or projects, published reports, and their skills and experience.
