In addition, support various projects, who are using the MF LDM to create their project specific models, to various degrees of involvements as defined by Lead. Typically, the MF Data Modeling Team purview includes: Iterative elaboration of the MF LDM at the attribute level Maintenance of the Master Mapping document which maps the MF LDM entities and Attributes to the MF Business Data Dictionary (BDD) Analysis of the project specific data requirements to ensure: Project specific attribute and valid value mappings. Reconciliation between models and mappings. Ensure that the project logical and physical models and DDLs meets project needs. Specific responsibilities include: 1. Review and Analyze Business Data Requirements, Business Requirements and Sample Data to obtain: a. Clear and complete specs for data elements needed (i.e. Data Req. Template completed properly) b. Sufficient information provided to determine the relationships between the data, data integrity and constraints c. Clarity regarding detailed complex business rules concerning the data, uses of the data by the business processes covered by the project, and d. Validation of understanding with use cases to ensure accurate and consistent understanding e. Sufficient information to determine population of primary key elements. 2. Work closely with the Business SMEs, and System Analysts to ensure completeness and clarity of requirements provided. 3. Perform requirements validation and elicitation particularly on the more complex requirements to gain better understanding for accurate mapping/modeling. 4. Map the business data attributes to the MF LDM attributes; map valid values and datasets. 5. Perform Gap Analysis on the data model, and dataset models in the project, i.e. identify if any attributes, valid values, content sets or events are missing from the MF LDM. 6. Review models to ensure domain and data type/length are consistent with business data requirements. 7. Review/validate MF LDM Mappings performed by others. Skills/Knowledge: Job requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired. Applicant should possess 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing small to medium size information systems projects through the integration of new technology; gathering information system requirements, analyzing requirements to determine system data architecture; implementing information systems; defining conceptual, logical, and physical information and data models; and solving technical problems in information systems. Hands on experience in software design and development, data modeling, infrastructure, design patterns, networks, security, and mortgage related finance a plus. Prior experience working at or with this company or Fannie Mae is required / strongly preferred, with specific knowledge of the Single Family or Multifamily secondary mortgage markets.
