Work with client personnel and executives to identify functional requirements and subsequently working with and leading others in the identification, justification and design of the clients solution. Develop innovative solutions to our clients most complex business and technical issues. Create proof-of-concept implementations of WebSphere Commerce based applications using new and upgraded WebSphere technologies (e.g., Portal, MQ Series, Web Services / SOA, etc.). Install/Upgrade, configure, and tune WebSphere products (Commerce, WAS,WPS) at customer sites . Mentor client IT teams in WebSphere Commerce Architecture, Development and WSAD/Commerce Toolkit best practices Candidate must have demonstrated past experience in analyzing complex technical Commerce situations, anticipating potential problems and future trends, and assessing opportunities and risks while developing and implementing plans and creating solution deliverables for client contracts. As a leader of the team, the WebSphere Commerce Architect guides other professionals and assumes overall technical responsibility for the successful design, solution construction, implementation and system integration of e-commerce billable projects. At the senior level, the position requires significant knowledge across multiple platforms, processes or architectures. The following is REQUIRED: 2+ years of experience in architect/solution designing, developing and delivering custom application development solutions for clients. 3 + years experience in IBM WebSphere Commerce and object oriented technologies 3 + years experience in establishing and managing development standards 2 + years experience in a lead architect role working on complex projects Previous experience working with software development methodologies (Agile is preferred). Willingness and ability to write code as needed (Java, J2EE, etc).
