The initiative that this individual will focus on will be a Struts to Spring MVC conversion that impacts 6 existing java applications. This individual will be responsible for the majority of that work (70-90%) but will have support and assistance from Agile team members, as needed (Developers, Testers, etc.) Some of these applications are complex and might require pieces of the application to be re-written and this individual will need to be knowledgeable enough with Java development, Struts as well as Spring MVC in order to hit the ground running and make sure the applications work. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of Java Development experience and have previous experience migrating applications from Struts to Spring MVC. That is extremely specific and not likely so candidates will at least need to have on experience with both Struts (5+ years) and Spring MVC (3+ years) in order to be effective. While this candidate will have the assistance of other team members, they need to be comfortable working independently and must possess great communication. Required Skills -7+ Years of Java Development Experience -3+ years Spring MVC -5+ Yeats Struts experience -Candidate must be comfortable working independently and possess excellent communication.
