In this role you will developing APIs in NodeJS as well as responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application which is hosted in an AWS Cloud with MongoDB on the back-end. Responsibilities Develop the Rest API services Mobile, iOS, Mac and PC Applications. Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic. Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code. Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications. Implementation of security and data protection. Integration of data storage solutions mongoDB etc. Communicate the Node.js best practices / benefits to the concerned stakeholders when needed. Desired Skills and Experience 3+ years experience with development of NodeJS. Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jade, EJS, etc. Understanding accessibility and security compliance. User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments. Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application. Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform. Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests with build systems build systems would be helpful. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. Bonus Skills Experience working with NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB). Experience working in Agile Development environments. Experience with applications hosted in a Cloud (AWS). Experience with Socket Libraries or Networking Libraries. Experience with UML Diagrams or sequence and component diagraming experience. You maintain an active Github profile.
