The Business Intelligence Analyst IV has the ability to utilize this information to generate actionable business insight. Responsible for managing the business intelligence (BI) front end development during a single projects lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design and support of the business intelligence system. Job Description Responsibility for ensuring users easy access to data that is useful to them: be a key translator of users information requirements into “data” define which data to filter into a data warehouse and which to index and present directly to users optimize performance of front-end tools keep close contact with key end-user representatives directly or through IT/business account managers to ensure front-end tools are providing valued DSS capabilities to customers Analyzes user communitys business functions and information requirements to determine how decision support systems and OLAP might assist in addressing their information needs, and translates these needs into system requirements and designs. Develop and maintain reporting, business intelligence platform, and ad-hoc data access standards and processes for Technology and Systems. Direct the activities of BI analysts, contractors, and BI developer in the requirements definition, design, coding, and testing of sophisticated decision support applications. Management of partners, service providers and consulting for specific project related deliverables and services. Technical Skills Proficient in report development, including ad-hoc, dashboards, and scorecards. Working technical knowledge of the entire Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) technology platform. Working knowledge of Visualization and discovery tools such as Tableau. Proficient in SQL Proficient in Database technology including SQL Server and Netezza or similar. Knowledge of advanced analytics. Knowledge of big data ecosystems and tools such as Hadoop and Hive. Proficient in efficient and effective visualization design and development. Translates business questions and requirements into reports, views, and BI query objects. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus (necessary to develop self-direction, writing ability, critical thinking, and foundations of programming and software delivery fundamentals).Or, significant business and technical experience will be considered. Possess or has made progress towards receiving a Certification in OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence), TWDI Certifications or equivalent experience 7 years of progressive broad-based information systems experience. 5 or more years of business/industry experience (as either an IT or LOB employee) that is relevant to front-end business intelligence and decision support activities, including 2 years of solving business problems with appropriate technology fit. 1-3 years of demonstrated management of people and/or projects in the information systems area.
