Description:

Statement of Work:

client is soliciting competitive quotations from vendors for the services of a Lead Level Technical Consultant who is an Extract-Translate-Load (ETL) programmer/developer well versed in Informatica (version 8.x) to design and build data mappings for Data Warehouse support and enhancements as it relates to the Unified Improvement Planning and School/District Performance Framework reports.

Responsibilities:

* Work with other CDE Information Management Services (IMS) staff to identify data schema updates for the data warehouse.
* Design, build or enhance Informatica mappings according to CDE standards in support of the annual Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) pre-populated reports as well as the School Performance Framework (SPF)/District Performance Framework (DPF) reporting process.
* Design, build or enhance the UIP, SPF/DPF reports using Cognos reports.
* Work closely with end users to identify data sources (as input to the Informatica mappings).
* Design and develop Oracle views for new applications using new Operational Data Store table structures.
* Design and develop new Oracle tables to move data from current Oracle Eden Schema into appropriate data warehouse schema tables.
* Update documentation on Informatica mappings to ensure documentation matches the applications.
* Maintain the documentation on Informatica standards.
* Provide knowledge transfer to the current CDE ETL programmer to ensure sustainability after this contract is over.

Required Skills:

* Five years experience with Informatica.
* Five years experience of Oracle.
* Five years experience working with complex data warehouse design and architecture.
* One+ years demonstrated experience with relational databases.
* Two+ years demonstrated experience with data warehouse databases.
* Demonstrated experience interacting with end users.
* Candidate must be available for the entire project term.

Desired Skills:

* Knowledge of CDEs extensive library of Informatica mappings.
* Understanding of educational data, including the Colorado Student Growth Model.
* Knowledge of Cognos (v8).
* Experience in data governance
* Experience in developing enterprise data models
* Should be well versed in data warehouse design.
* Familiar with structured query language (SQL) and can work with complex queries.
* Able to translate complex education data into requirements.
* Familiar with data analysis services, data flow diagramming and data modeling.
* Candidate to reside within the Denver metropolitan area, or the ability to commute as needed to required work location.
