JOB TITLE: Automation and Operation Engineer JOB DUTIES: As Operations Engineer, you will work on ensuring flawless execution of day to day operations of Usage Rating application that supports Data, Voice and SMS services. You will continuously strive to find opportunities to automate any manual task performed by operations team. Identify opportunities and implement fallout correction by design working on transforming our legacy billing application to a cloud based billing platform. You will work on ensuring day to day operations for Usage Rating are performed successfully, with proper audit controls and within agreed SLAs with business partners. You will interact daily with both internal and external partners. You will partner with Verizon India operations team and ensure 24x7 coverage. You will work on release deployments and post deployment health checks and validations. You will work to provide automation solutions to reduce manual efforts performed by operations team. You will work to implement proactive alerting and monitoring controls in place for all existing modules and new modules getting implemented with every release. MUST HAVE SKILLS: This section is the most paramount. A qualified candidate must possess each skill (or vast majority in some cases) to be considered. * Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience. * Four or more years of relevant work experience. * Experience with billing products like Arbor/ Netcracker/ AMDOCs or related billing systems. * Experience in any of these systems: Rating and Billing. * Experience Python, Perl, Java, Spring Integration Framework, C++ and Oracle. * Experience in Cloud Native Applications - Public or Private Cloud deployment * Experience with Linux as well as Oracle DB. * Experience developing dashboard using java technologies. DESIRED SKILLS: * Experience in telecom OSS/BSS operations and support. Third party experience in Cassandra, Apache Spark, Kafka. * Experience with process automation using RPAs. * Experience with AWS or related cloud technologies. * Knowledge of multiple SDLC methodologies, standards, procedures and organization that contribute to the development and deployment of technology solutions. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: * Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience. Work requires to work in any of three shifts as assigned 7AM to 3PM (1st shift), 2PM to 10PM (2nd shift), 10PM to 7AM (On Call) , 9AM TO 6PM (Help Desk) 1st, 2nd and help desk shift needs to work from office, On call shift can work from home.
