Job Description Expert: Banner Utility CIS 2.0, Oracle 10g, Oracle DBA, Cobol

[Note: Due Date: 9/1/2011]


The purpose of this contract is to provide expertise assistance in the upgrade of the city of Richmond, Dept. of public Utilities Banner CIS hardware and supporting software and interfaces. The Banner CIS system is currently running in a single server environment under version 8 of oracle DB system and 9i of application server system. We are upgrading to a dual server 64 bit Itanium environment using version 11.2 of the oracle DB on server one and version 10g of the application server on server two. Batch process and banner CIS code will reside on the Oracel DB server and all forms for the development, staging and production environments will reside on Oracle application server.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 10 years of knowledge working with the banner utility CIS version 2.0B

2. Recent experience migrating from oracle 8 to oracle 11.2

3. Migrating from a single 32 bit- processor server to a Dual 64 bit- processor server

oracle DB :

1. Evaluate the current process for submitting and scheduling jobs and provide alternative compatiable with the new software releases.

2. Assist with the evaluation of performance problems and long-running querries.

Oracle 10g as:

1. Stress testing of forms - provide suggestions for stress testing.

2. provide assistance with Sun java engine for 10g as and how this will interact with internet explorer 8 and windows 7.

Cobol:

evaluate usage of Microfocus server express
