Job Description : Background The driving promise of BI(Business Intelligence) Insights was the elimination of thousands of hours of data integration activities and a replacement information access tool for Discoverer. The ultimate goal is to move forward toward a more efficient and effective use of information and analytics for improving business processes and business performance. The BI Insights program to-date has built a solid foundation of data, technology, analytical dashboards, data governance, communication, adoption workshops and self-service Power User training to achieve those goals. However, it is just the beginning. BI systems must be able to flex and grow to include evolving information and data requirements more than ever before to ensure continued pervasive and beneficial adoption by the business community. Work Order Objective: Requires BI specific experience and capabilities in order for the BI Insights programs growth, adoption and business value to succeed. Provide continued BI consulting experience both for customer support and for knowledge transfer to FA3s. Benefit: Ensure knowledgeable and competent BI Insights business user support; incorporation of desired BI Insights enhancements and continued education and on-the-job knowledge transfer activities for FA3s. The BI Insights program employs industry best practices for: an Agile, iterative delivery and quality assurance methodology; data governance to ensure data quality and analytical consistency; and multiple communication channels to ensure business user education, adoption and process improvement assistance using BI Insights. Provide continued BI consulting experience to continue and grow these best practices. Benefit: Ensure continued “sprint” releases of relevant BI Insights analytical content; ensure continuation of data governance forums to resolve data quality issues and inconsistencies; collaboration to expand the usage of BI Insights for process improvement opportunities. Required Skill Set and Experience Business Intelligence Analytics product knowledge and experience. Project management experience managing a project team of at least ten members; or equivalent education and/or experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the job requirements. Familiar with PMI best practices. Experience with different SDLC approaches, especially with Agile/Scrum. Have led Scrum meetings, managed the backlog and prioritized sprint content. Familiar with lean concepts, tools and practices. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, lead and control project activities to deliver a product/complete a deliverable within a specific budget and time-frame in a large scale project preferably a BI implementation project. Knowledge of Finance/Accounting business practices, work flow analysis, business systems design, and process re-engineering. Ability to work on complex, highly visible, and politically sensitive projects. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to a wide range of individuals, including making presentations before groups and committees. Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts Ability to manage scope, cost, schedule, issues and risks. Ability to build, organize, lead and motivate project team. Ability to manage resources, schedule resources to activities, establish commitment and ensure accountability. Ability to monitor and measure project performance against planned performance and take corrective action as necessary to stay on track. Ability to establish quality objectives and ensure quality deliverables.
