Job Description:

Execute the day to day work instructions from other members of the team in a professional and timely manner. Learn new skill sets and apply them to the regular work environment. Communicating with other teams effectively while servicing them or availing service from other teams. Will be using the process of elimination to troubleshoot problems and escalate appropriately

Job Duties:

Will be working in all the Oracle DB environments (prod and non-prod)
Interact with customers to deliver services
Participate in the building and maintainance of Oracle RAC environments
Develop scripts and other automation to existing or new processes.
Develop ideas and apply continuous improvement to the activities
Perform Incident and service request execution as directed.
Participate in after hours support call rotation as per the team guidelines and direction.(Will be required to carry a mobile device at all times)
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
2-5 years of Oracle DBA experience or progressive experience in IT leading up to the DBA with at least two years in the DBA role.
Hands on experience in building and maintaining Oracle RAC environments
Oracle version 11g and above preferred
Experience with transactional and/or data warehouse practices
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of Application SDLC is needed
BS in computer Science or Equivalent degree with knowledge of database concepts
Certifications will be a plus

Other requirements: Utilizes a personal computer and a variety of standard office equipment including telephone, copier, printers, fax, etc. Works with a wide range of equipment/systems such as PCs,Smart Phones with Windows based operating systems. Activities require a significant amount of sitting at office and work desks and in front of a computer monitor, and some walking and standing relative to interaction with other personnel. Significant use of hands and arms, plus finger dexterity to reach, point, write, type, operate a computer and other office equipment. Activities also require significant use of voice and hearing for discussions with personnel. The location is in our St. Paul, Lillehei Plaza. Should be ready to travel even though the likelihood is less.
