Job Description Administrator: Oracle, OLTP, Oracle Triggers, Stored Procedures PLSQL

Description of Work:

The work includes Oracle DBA project activities of one (1) consultant, as well as
ongoing, day-to-day DBA support. This is for DBA support which is expected to require
30-40 hours per week for approximately 12 weeks, and then “as-needed” which may be
very low, or remain at the 30-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

A. Daily verbal or email progress reports to the Metro State Database Director.
B. Successful vendor is responsible for coordinating and scheduling of the vendors
consultant in conjunction with Metro State staff.
C. Successful vendor is responsible for all travel costs. Metro State will not reimburse
contractor or consultant for any travel costs.
D. Successful vendors consultant is responsible for documenting their work in writing at the
end of each project as listed in 2.1, or at the end of any additional requested projects,
and mentoring of up to three Metro State DBA staff.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

A. Proposed DBA must have a minimum of 4 years experience in Oracle database
administration.
B. Proposed DBA must have a minimum two years experience with high-volume OLTP
database applications that use Oracle triggers, stored procedures, PL/SQL, and other
Oracle programs/tools

Preferred Requirements

A. Metro State desires a DBA who has 3 years in complex, multi-database, clustered
environments.
B. Experience in a higher-education environment.
C. Experience with the Banner system.
D. Data warehouse experience.
