Heavy full life cycle development and some architecture. Begin with the design and development of a rule engine that will support product configuration applications. Iterative UI development, specification and design of WCF objects for data access, use case coding and testing Close, daily interaction with end users and team members (business analysts and PM). Additional projects include: Pricing and commissioning engine to support corporate quotation and order fulfillment. Development of client and web based .Net applications with an Oracle 10g backend (The application platform is Windows Click Once client apps interacting with the 10G database via data services (WCF objects). Development using Visual Studio 2008. Development implemented in an Agile/Extreme Programming development environment, including iterative builds, peer code reviews, and regular end user engagement. Participate in the full cycle of development-including requirements definition, architecture, design and development, unit and integration testing. Possibility of moving development from VB.Net Click Once to Silverlight in the future. Primary responsibilities: Software development and testing of user interface applications using 3rd party controls. Participation in project time/task estimation, code and architecture reviews, documentation of system architecture and an integral role during all phases of the development life-cycle (project definition, process mapping, architecture, coding, acceptance testing, installation, turnover to support, etc.). Analysis, design skills, and hands on development of front end user interface / UI applications. Communicate regularly with internal and external customers to gather feedback on deliverables, and produce quick turnaround on any assigned changes. Required Experience and Knowledge: User interface / UI design, transactional and maintenance applications VB.NET Winforms (Click Once applications, client applications) Strong Use Case Interaction - They want Someone with Excellent Communications & Interpersonal Skills Preferred Skills: Telerik Controls or 3rd party controls is highly desired WCF/Web Services Visual Studio 2008 or higher Oracle 10G database preferred, but will consider SQL Server experience as well.
