Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, end users and vendor development staff, as well as all levels of management and judicial personnel as necessary. • Must be familiar with IBM Information Server 11.7, IBM InfoSphere DataStage and Ascential DataStage using components Administrator, Designer and Director. • Must be able to develop, compile and execute DataStage jobs, perform Administrative tasks, apply patches and perform server upgrade. • Must have knowledge of creating custom transformations, stage variables, functions and routines. • Experience in scheduling DataStage jobs and generate log reports. • Must have knowledge of creating environment variable, job parameter and parameter sets. • Must be able to create reusable components such as Shared Containers and Local Containers. • Must be able to use IIS web console to manage user and group sessions. • Must have experience in importing and exporting DataStage jobs and Projects. • Must be able to write SQL scripts, Functions and Packages. • Must be familiar with Oracle and SQL Developer database. • Must have knowledge of generating DDL for Sequential files. • Must be familiar with Classic Data Architect and MQ server. • Must be familiar with star schema and warehouse architecture design. • Must be able to create and update Unix Shell scripts. • Must have knowledge of configuration management tool such as Tortoise CVS 2.3 Statement of Work 2.3.1 Background JIS is seeking one (1) Sr. Technical Resource to provide support and mentoring services for the IBM DataStage product and related tools in support of data replication from the IBM mainframe environment to an Oracle database environment running on IBM servers in near real-time mode. A full understanding of the product features and the interoperability of the databases and operating system software is required. 2.3.2 Sr. Technical Resource Responsibilities The Contractual Resource, in conjunction with JIS personnel, will be responsible for: 1. Working as the team leader by providing assistance guiding the development of a project plans that meet both the short and long term needs of JIS related to data migration and data currency. 2. Assist in developing error-handling and operation maintenance processes and jobs to provide for effective ongoing operation with minimal supervision. 3. Ensure that technical components function properly independently and when interfaced with other technology components such as database and mainframe applications. Work with JIS and third party vendors to configure IBMs products to interoperate with industry standard technology, to include installation, configuration and connectivity. 4. Review data models and using logical specifications, help design and develop physical jobs, maps, data integration solutions, and other work products. 5. Act as a liaison between JIS and IBM product support. 6. Inform and assist with installation of patches and upgrades to IBM product releases to ensure the success of the project. 7.
