Analyzes performance issues of the highest complexity with systems / applications software and/or application components Possesses an understanding of the underlying data sources, e.g., databases, XML, services, as well as expertise in interpreting the requirements provided by the user. At least 8 years of hands on experience in DataStage V 8.1 for implementation of ETL methodologies in Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading. Strong in writing PL/SQL, Procedures, Functions, Packages and OLAP functions in ORALCE 10/11 is desirable. High caliber knowledge in optimizing complex queries. Working knowledge in using Informatica Power center tools 7.1 and above is desirable Demonstrated knowledge in Tools such as TOAD and ORACLE SQL Developer. Demonstrated knowledge in using AUTOSYS tool to schedule ETL jobs Working knowledge of C-Shell, K-Shell and PERL. Working knowledge of Java and J2EE framework is a plus Good communication skills Working knowledge of Actuate Report Designer and E-spreadsheet is a plus Working knowledge in ITIL is a plus. Expected Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting in customization and development of application systems Designs, programs, and codes software in response to specific business requirements Understands how to optimize joint development efforts through appropriate project design, database use, code creation, and software architecture Develops design specifications in compliance with IT Architecture Resolves user issues and suggestions. Completely adapt understanding and leveraging functional requirements for the creation of technical specifications and their development into code. Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve business and/or technical problems. Excellent knowledge of programming / systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions; possesses an excellent understanding of programming languages, development tools, and the current environment. Possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies; draws on extensive knowledge base (e.g., infrastructure, technology, and applications) to analyze problems of the greatest complexity and contribute to troubleshooting efforts . Leverages excellent design understanding and/or capabilities (e.g., database, application code, reusable objects, and interfaces) to optimize development efforts in a distributed environment; adept at understanding operational nuances across multiple business units / functional areas.. Tasks and Responsibilities: The contractor will be required to directly or indirectly participate in the following tasks: 1.Quickly understand the existing development & production environment and tool sets 2.Work closely with the business analysts to understand the requirements for functional design 3.Develop Technical designs/Unit Design documents for unit of work that will be performed in DataStage ETL, ORACLE, UNIX etc. 4. Develop and trouble shoots DataStage, SQL/PLSQL, autosys code. 5.Tests and validates developed code. 6.Support the execution of the Integration/UAT testing and production release. 7.Assist in the technical documentation of each workflow 8.Participate in all project meetings 9.Develop project handoff documentation at the end of the assignment.
