Job Description : Job Summary Perform PL SQL development, testing and production environments; provide input to the data models (functionality, efficiency and usability); responsible for code reviews and design reviews for every production change; Perform production deployments for each month as part of maintenance. Maintain design of current and future database models in ER studio Job Responsibilities and tasks Design, build and maintain PL/SQL objects for development, reporting and applications. PL/SQL objects include table, view, materialized view, partitioning, stored procedure, function, package, etc. Participate in design discussions related to the maintenance and enhancement of existing and newly created applications. Working in ticket driven environment with strict standards. Performing code review and design review to ensure the correctness of code changes and meeting database structure standards for future effectiveness. Providing business users with ad-hoc reporting as needed using queries. Perform other system operations tasks such as application monitoring, application deployment. Participate in reviews with enterprise architects and other architecture staff to ensure and review compliance with Enterprise Architectural standards and best practices Accountable for the creation of the logical and physical data models. This will include database and application deployment. Willing to learn new technology like monitoring tools and in house applications Troubleshoots daily program problems to assist database users in accessing and manipulating computerized data. Knowledge/Skills (Required/ Preferred) Development experience with Oracle 11g & 12c, other RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL). DB modeling, SQL, Stored procedures Have experience with OLTP and data warehouse environment. Database and SQL Performance tuning. Ability to understand business logic and structure. Preferred to have DBA knowledge to know structure of database. Basic knowledge in shell scripting Experience (Required/ Preferred) Required: 5-8 years hands-on experience as an Oracle Database developer, with progressive responsibilities, in an enterprise application development and operations environment. Application development background with solid understanding of Application, business issues and troubleshooting.
