This position will serve as a strategic Project Lead in support of the implementation of UCPath. UCPath is the University of Californias program to implement a single payroll, benefits, human resources and academic personnel solution for all UC employees, leveraging a single instance of PeopleSoft. The UCPath PPT Testing Lead is a member of UC San Diego implementation core team. The position will develop, evaluate, execute, and manage the plans and schedules for Payroll Parallel Testing(PPT). Tests also include end-to-end process testing. This position will lead the testing team, collaborating with cross-project team members, workstream leads and subject matter experts. Responsibilities and Duties Define the Testing Project Plan identifying strategy and all necessary deliverables for Payroll Parallel Testing. Provide updates and coordinates efforts with all the UCSD UCPath teams and UC-wide project team. Develop, implement, and document process of the UCPath PPT testing deliverables. Lead a team to test and reconcile Payroll Parallel Test results. Work closely with UCPath Test Lead on overall testing strategy, test plans, and schedules for all PPT iterations, including conversion, integration testing, and unit testing. Ensure tests reconcile business needs with technical parameters. Coordinate subject matter expert participation in all testing activities, analysis of test results, and resolution of error conditions. Troubleshoot and log defects found Set clear objectives, evaluate deliverables, assign and re-allocate duties as necessary. Provides guidance and training as necessary. Review UCPath PPTs approach and tools and provide feedback. Qualifications BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution and 5+ years of PeopleSoft experience. Advanced knowledge of applications function and analysis. Experience in writing SQL queries against a relational database. Thorough knowledge relating to the design and development of applications programs and analysis of those applications. Thorough knowledge of other related areas of IT. Advanced skills associated with analysis of programming design, modification, and implementation. Must be able to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner. Understanding of using automated testing tools and ability to perform automated QA procedures. High level understanding of “end-to-end” business processes and sub-processes. Ability to consider upstream and downstream process impacts and implications. Track record of successful PeopleSoft ERP implementations with a large role in testing. Advanced interpersonal skills and experience in order to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills. Demonstrated ability to lead in a collaborative environment, build consensus, and promote the exchange of information among project team members.
