Monitors loading, usage, ease of use. Recommends changes to system, including new or additional peripherals. Performs all tasks and duties required to maintain PCI-DSS RoC. Participates substantially in all Audits and Reviews. Installs hardware and software, assists and troubleshoots for individual users, and trains and coaches employees. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Understands network design. Continually monitors hardware and software for effectiveness, efficiency and ease of use. Performs installations, upgrades, diagnostics and ongoing repair. Sets up, configures, troubleshoots, upgrades, and repairs x86 PCs and Servers. Stays current with new and emerging related technology. Recommends modifications, enhancements, additions and deletions to system, PCs, terminals and peripherals. Good working and practical knowledge of Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS), and possess the knowledge to effectively, secure and harden all software and hardware to the required levels necessary to maintain PCI-DSS Report of Compliance (RoC). Works with individual users and the HelpDesk to add or delete software and hardware, to troubleshoot problems and to train them in use of network, PCs and related equipment. Coordinates with the Corporate Messaging team on internal e-mail systems for local and remote access and troubleshooting. Analyzes system crashes, bugs and unusual operations. Takes corrective action. Back-up to the Manager of Information Technology to develop and maintain data security policies and procedures; maintain overall responsibility for data access; ensure that all computing platforms and networks are in compliance with defined policies/procedures, and to evaluate and recommend new security technologies. Plans and designs new security programs. Coordinates ordering of software and hardware, service and testing. Supervises outside contractors. Provides configuration and support for test and classroom projects. Writes simple programs. Knows and conducts business in accordance with Companys quality programs and standards. Maintains safety standards throughout areas of responsibility. Administration of XP Systems network (LAN/WAN), which includes, but is not limited to: • All XPCORP Domain Servers • All PCs, Routers, Switches, Wireless Devices and Printers • Internet (Firewall [ASA]) Services, IDS/IPS, RSA two-factor authentication, Cisco Access Control Server (ACS) • Administration and maintenance of Ciscos IP Telephony System, including Ciscos Telepresence Video Conferencing systems • Installation, maintenance and monitoring of WAN circuits to third party vendors • 24x7 paid On-Call support for two weeks on rotation among IT staff • Working maintenance nights once a month • Periodic travel to a remote branch office This also includes basic systems administration duties for the XPCORP Domain construct. Includes tape backups, file recoveries and disk space management. Administration of the company-wide Symantec anti virus solution. Administration of company remote access services (VPN / Wireless) Troubleshoot and repair complex network issues relating to connectivity, permissions, security, and bandwidth.
