Job Description Developer: PHP, HTML, Agile, SOAP JDBC

[Interview Schedule: Phone followed by Mandatory Personal Interview]


This person must be extremely strong in PHP (Zend framework) and MySQL. Candidate must also have familiarity in HTML and XML as well as CSS.

This is a mid to senior level programming position working on an automation project. This is not a graphic designer, this person will be working on the backend of webpages (processing data, coding, reporting etc).


Qualifications:.


Experience:
o Minimum of seven years experience in software development.
o Development in PHP, HTML 4 & 5, CSS 2 & 3, Javascript, JQuery (Javascript Framework), and Python.
o Experience in Agile software design (scrum, etc.) and development is a plus.
o An understanding of semantic HTML programming.
o Object Oriented Programing (OOP) understanding required.
o Experience in XML, SOAP, JSON, and web services related technologies such as Schema (XSD), XPath, XQuery, and XSLT is required.
o Experience with using ODBC/JDBCs to connect to various relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.) is required.
o Familiarity with various Linux distributions from a web server/user perspective is required.
o Familiarity of various web servers, Apache, Tomcat, NGIX, etc. is required.
o Experience in web-based systems and client-server development is required.
o Ability to learn and pickup various vendors APIs and database schemas is required.
o Knowledge of Juniper and Cisco Router APIs is a plus.
o Knowledge of network transmission at all 7 layers of the OSI model and 4 layers of the TCP/IP model is a plus.
o Creative, self-motivated team player.
o Demonstrated initiative to initiate and build relationships both internally and externally.
o Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/project.
