Drupal API AWS Job Description : Our Digital Services team is seeking a Drupal expert to complete the transition of an ongoing project for the duration of a 6-month contract. As a creative, highly motivated Senior Full Stack Drupal Developer, you will join the team working on upgrading the website to better inform and engage users to serve their needs. The transition is already in flight and resides on a fleet of cloud-based load-balanced autoscaling Linux server instances on AWS. The senior developer will be responsible for understanding business requirements, working with a small but dynamic and highly productive team in configuring and customizing web interfaces. This position requires a fast-moving, results-oriented candidate with experience and skill in understanding, solving and developing for vastly different client problems/goals. What will you do? Lead the technical migration of austintexas.gov from Drupal 7 to 8 Build and maintain custom Drupal 8 themes to support accessibility and responsive design Build new frontend and backend features to support advanced or unique functionality Configure, tune, and monitor Drupal servers Integrate internal and third-party APIs, Drupal plugins, and modules Use Drush to automate and simplify Drupal site management Participate in peer quality assurance testing and code reviews What are we looking for? 3 to 5 years of professional experience in development, administration, custom module development, configuration management/features, and theming for medium to large Drupal sites Experience leading the migration of Drupal websites from Drupal 7 to 8 Strong experience in coding and debugging in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery Understanding of and experience with continuous delivery, continuous integration testing, and cloud platforms Ability to engage with a wide range of digital specialists and non-technical partners to define the best approaches to a problem   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
