PMP IT Project Management peoplesoft Hrms Business Process Reengineering Efforts Mana   Requirement id 1910 Job title Manager Job location in Sacrament, CA Skills required PMP, IT Project Management, peoplesoft Hrms, Business Process Reengineering Efforts Open Date 25-Jan-2011 Close Date Job type Not specified Duration 4 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type ---    Email Recruiter: Harshal Darade Job Description Manager: PMP, IT Project Management, peoplesoft Hrms, Business Process Reengineering Efforts NOTE: The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, the following: • Development of user and technical requirements for online California State application entry, applicant tracking, online testing, certification, and eligible list management. • The reengineering of HR examination and/or recruitment processes and the identification of necessary data transfer/system interfaces, e.g., with PeopleSoft and/or control agency systems. • Completion of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process to determine a vendor to provide this service. • Analysis of the PeopleSoft HRMS system to identify which capabilities can be decommissioned or deactivated. • Implementation of the selected system. The Project Manager will coordinate all activities beginning with development of the RFP and the vendor selection process, through implementation planning and roll-out to all CalPERS divisions. The Project Manager will coordinate with CalPERS lines of business involved in the RFP and subsequent implementation activities. The lines of business include but not limited to; Human Resources Services Division (HRSD), Information Security (ISOF), Public Affairs Office (PAOF), Operations Support Services Division (OSSD), ITSB (Information Technology Services Branch). Rollout plans would support rollout to hiring managers in all lines of business as well as the specific lines of business HR contacts. Specific Project Management tasks and deliverables include: • Provide day-to-day project management to include monitoring and facilitating progress, resolving issues and risks, ensuring product quality, and communicating appropriate information to all stakeholders in a timely manner. • Develop a full detailed project WBS and schedule for a multi-phased implementation • Must utilize the CalPERS Standard project scheduling tool – Primavera. • Develop, execute, and manage the project communication plan and strategy • Develop, execute, and manage a system integration plan • Provide first level review and approval of project deliverables • Provides detailed support and direction to project teams • Facilitates the analysis and approval of changes to scope, schedule, and budget. • Facilitates meetings • Facilitate and oversee HR business process reengineering efforts • Ensures change management efforts are incorporated into the project • Utilizes the Project Management Office (PMO) Methodology for use of standard project documents • Provides effective communication with project teams, project sponsor(s), and Project Executive Steering Committee to help ensure project success. • Manages and follows the CalPERS contracting process for RFP development and selection • Directly manage and monitor project schedule • Manage issues and risks and provide mitigation strategies as needed and escalates issues that cannot be resolved at lower levels. • Prepares and provides PMO standard status reports on a timely basis to project team, sponsor(s), PMO Mgmt, and stakeholders • Updates the Enterprise Project Portfolio with project status on a timely basis and with quality. • Track post-implementation “lessons learned” after each project phase. • Submit monthly detailed timesheets with all invoices • Attend project, staff, and management (HBB and/or PMO) meetings as required • Provide direction to IT staff and ensures approach, development, and testing efforts are conducted collaboratively • Works collaboratively with PMO, management and staff. • He or she is expected to work well with others and follow CalPERS Core Values. 3.
