Installing equipment racks, ladder rack, shelving and cabinets. Terminating, labeling and testing a variety of different manufactures connectivity hardware. DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: • Installation of cable pathway development, raceway and attachments (equipment racks, cabinets, ladder rack, shelving) • Perform all CAT5E/CAT6 cable pulling and installation • Terminate, label and test connectivity hardware (jacks, patch panels, 110 blocks, 66 blocks) • Work must meet industry standards and be appropriate for correctional environment REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): • Experience in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or other related fields pulling/running cable • Route cable through conduit, above ceilings and between floors per job specifications • Install, terminate and test low voltage cables. • Strong attention to detail PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): • Solid understanding of cabling standards (ANSI/TIA/EIA 568B, BICSI, NEC, IEEE, NFPA) • Strong understanding of proper attachment hardware, mounting procedures and raceway construction • FAMILIARITY WITH TELECOMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT A PLUS, NOT REQUIRED • Cannot be colorblind REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years experience with the proper pulling techniques for all category cable   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
