(what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis) • Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, deployment, operation, and refinement. • Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews. • Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health. • Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation; evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity. • Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems. What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities? • Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems. • Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks. • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive. • Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems. • Experience in managing and scaling distributed systems in a public, private, or hybrid cloud environment •Hands-on experience using monitoring tools and solution like - Splunk, New relic, DTSAAS etc What skills/attributes are a must have? • Analyze, design, develop, debug, test, document, deploy and provide production support applications using primary skills in Java, J2EE, Pega PRPC (Pega Rules Process Commander), and BPM, Oracle • Experience developing enterprise applications using multiple programming languages, frameworks, and patterns. • Proficiency in RDBMS, Oracle experience preferred. • Good understanding on database design and query optimization • At least 5 years of experience with developing and maintaining enterprise applications • At least 5 years of experience with DevOps implementation • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while remaining productive and professional; exercise patience and ability to multi task   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
