Client: Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) House Information Resources (HIR) Enterprise Operations (EO)

Description:

A.1 Objective:

The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) House Information Resources (HIR) Enterprise Operations (EO) Directorate is seeking a systems administrator specializing in e-mail administration and customer support to support EOs Messaging Team. This Statement of Work establishes the contractors level of effort for services to provide system administration and expertise for the U.S. House of Representatives (House) enterprise messaging systems.

A.3 Scope:

One administrator will serve full-time (40 hours per week), to assist EO with system administration activities relating to the evolving House Messaging System. This includes, but is not limited to, mailbox malware remediation, supporting message filtering operations, general e-mail customer support and messaging system administration. The planned period of performance for these tasks is twelve months from date of award. Some work may be performed off-site at the discretion of the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).

A.4 Candidate Capability Requirements/Experience:

The Messaging Engineer will require at least one year of hands-on experience with the list of technologies below in an enterprise environment. The Offeror will provide resumes of proposed staff demonstrating proven previous experience, ability, or understanding of / with the following:

• Experience / Ability with the following within the last six months in an enterprise environment
• Experience with Exchange administrative tools
• 1 + year of experience with Powershell is desired
• 1+ year of experience using Splunk is desired
• Experience operating as part of a larger customer support and/or service desk
• High level understanding of email terminology, technology, and routing
• It is beneficial to have knowledge of Proofpoint Enterprise Protection (including Targeted Attack Protection), Sendmail MTA, and Return Path tools.

A.5 Description of Work:

The Messaging Engineer will work directly with the Enterprise Operations (EO) Enterprise Messaging Systems (EMS) Branch performing the following duties:

• Provide Exchange administrative support
• Customer support for message filtering questions
• Customer support describing bulk mail best practices
• User acceptance testing on technology projects
• Provide phone and email customer support
• Effective communication, both orally and in writing with senior staff, information systems professionals, and the non-technical user community
