Candidates must have terrific communication skills and be located in the Portland, OR area. The hiring manager is looking to have initial interviews this week or early next week. Very immediate need! Summary: Participate in the analysis, development, testing, documentation, and training on application integration solutions related to new applications and enhancements to existing applications. Function as a member of a self directed project development team and independently for minor modifications and support. Execute phases of the SDLC using specific software development toolset(s). Mentor teammates in understanding and using complex integration tools and systems. Ensure tasks are completed on a timely basis and conform to specifications/processes and standardized best practices. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Menlos business processes in the area of Warehousing, Freight Management and Order Management. Essential Functions: • Assist in the gathering, review and analysis of requirements from business users and other teams responsible for application systems. • Participate in the analysis and design of integration solutions for new applications and enhancements or modification to existing applications. • Develop work estimates for projects. • Update and edit functional and technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements. • Identify and implement appropriate testing strategy. • Execute all steps required to deploy/implement the integration solution. • Participate in a self directed team environment. Collaborate with project team members and QA on development, customer issues, and security requirements. • Participate in code and design reviews and technical presentations to cross functional staff. • Create documentation as required in the SDLC. • Provide 24/7 on-call rotational support of application integration to users including issue resolution. Accurately repair and document changes to applications as assigned. • Monitor system and application integration performance and troubleshoot issues. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Bachelors degree in technical related field or related certification required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • 5+ years of experience in IT solutions development preferably in medium to large corporate environments. Experience in logistics and/or transportation management and business analysis is also required. • Powerbuilder skills at senior level (5+ years) is required. • Well developed written and verbal communication skills in customer settings and with internal management. Well developed active listening, facilitation and presentation skills. • Knowledge of basic business/accounting principles and transportation management. • Solid knowledge of IT software development life cycle methodologies and processes. • Basic project management skills. Well developed time management and prioritization skills. • Demonstrated analytical capabilities including complex technical problem solving. Exposure to managing customer expectations. • Ability to learn and understand functionality of multiple logistics-related systems. • Ability to establish solid business relationships and work effectively with senior business and client contacts. • Ability to work and participate effectively in a dynamic self directed team environment. • Ability to mentor and guide others in the use of integration tools. • Ability to communicate business needs to technical people and to communicate and simplify complex technical information for non-technical people. • Ability to perform 24/7 on-call duties on a rotational basis.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
