This position will have overall accountability for the implementation and results of one or more project work tracks. Specifically the incumbents responsibilities include: the full scope of project management activities, staff allocation and direction, and budgeting related to assigned projects; the supervision of team members, including programmers, technical analysts, business analysts, quality assurance analysts and consultants; as well as the evaluation and development of team members. The initial work stream will focus on delivery of results utilizing service oriented architecture (SOA) principles and methodology. Responsibilities : * Analysis and Decision Making – Evaluates problems and opportunities in an organized, logical manner; prioritizes resulting actions to maximize performance of the project team. * Business Perspective – Demonstrates an appropriate level of knowledge about the program and agencys mission, strategy, and practices in order to develop a broad outlook on customer and organizational needs. * Customer Focus – Develops and maintains effective partnerships with key individuals and customers in order to understand and anticipate their needs, the business environment, other challenges and opportunities. * Improvement and Innovation – Actively sponsors the realization of new ideas and concepts that bring value to program. * Influence – Exhibits effective networking, communications, and interpersonal skills in order to accomplish objectives requiring cooperation from across the teams. * Project Management – Effectively plans, organizes, and executes projects of varying complexity, delivering them within specified timeframes and budgets, utilizing the accepted project management methodology, actively involving customers in project activities to ensure business objectives are met. * Results – Understands what the program is trying to accomplish and prioritizes work demands for self and team in a way that best utilizes team member skills and that maximizes results. * Skills Development – Advocates skills development and self-improvement of team members and self through continuous learning , active coaching, and development activities; demonstrates this commitment through leadership by example. * Team Contribution – Provides leadership to build and maintain supportive relationships and commitment of team members to team goals and objectives. * Technical Expertise – Identifies and involves people with knowledge/mastery of technologies to help the team successfully complete project assignments; leverages technology products and services to meet business objectives in an effective and innovative way.
