This specific opportunity will support infrastructure needs for the stores area, with focus on the e-sign initiative. This position could start as soon as possible. He/she will be responsible for handling multiple project at a time and coordinate efforts with multiple Application Development project managers. There are three primary aspects to the work; to work with App Dev and determine the data management aspects of the project, roll out to more stores, and work with resources to finish up the documentation from the pilot and the new issues that come up. The Infrastruture Project Manager will work within the Infrastructure Service Development area; will be assigned to one of the areas noted in the project background, and responsible for all infrastructure needs to support that area. This person must have experience managing large / complex projects and teams via a matrixed organization. This person may have to be hands-on, but also have the ability to work with peers managing other aspects of the same project. Individual may direct associates and consultants assigned to their project. This person will report to the a Kohls Infrastruture Project Manager. Specific infrastructure skills that would be preferred. Please note that not all may be required for a specific PM opening. Familiarity with large (Fortune 500) IT departments that have responsibilities for Server (OS), Middleware, Database and Network administration spread across multiple teams. Familiarity with open, distributed systems built using technologies such as AIX, Linux, Weblogic (version 9 and higher), MQ, Oracle (version 10i and higher) and DB2. Experience in managing version upgrades of infrastructure systems that impact many mission critical applications Experience in managing a Windows OS, MS Office, Active Directory or Internet Explorer upgrade General Qualifications • Seven or more years performing I/S project and program management level responsibilities with emphasis on infrastructure projects • Experience in managing large / complex projects via a matrixed organization. • PMP Certification not required, but sound knowledge of project planning principles and structured methodologies is required • Clarity and Open Workbench experience, preferred • Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization including executive management. • Pro-active; demonstrates accountability to assigned project(s) • Demonstrated success in implementing projects and managing projects from end-to-end • Builds relationships with stakeholders and team members • Ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities Primary Responsibilities: • Manages project execution from project approval to project end • Responsible for developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents • Accountable for accurately estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals • Responsible for effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. • Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders • Proactively manages changes in project scope and budget, identifies potential risks, and devises contingency plans • Defines project success criteria and disseminates to involved parties throughout the project life cycle • Reports project status and issues to IS and user management, executives, and project participants. • Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project • Provides feedback to IS Resource Manager regarding performance of team members.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
