Submission Deadline: 11/23/2018 12:00 PM Client: Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Description: JOB SUMMARY: The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting all technology required to deliver the MBTAs Paratransit service (The RIDE). The Technical Project manager will report directly to The RIDEs Director of Technology and will work with the RIDE Operations team, The RIDE Innovation and Analysis team, and technology professionals across the MBTA to enhance and modernize the entire technology stack for paratransit. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and executes on a comprehensive technology infrastructure strategy and roadmap for the MBTAs Paratransit division which encompasses call and control center technology (telecommunications system and a reservations, schedufing, and dispatching software and supporting infrastructure), in-vehicle technology (automatic vehicle locators, accident notification and recording equipment, mobile data computers/dispatching software link, mobile/radio communications systems), and customer-facing technology (self-service technology Including web, IVR, mobile) Researches and evaluates solutions with respect to operational, financial, technical and Implementation feasibility Creates, articulates and evaluates requirements and technical specifications for procurements, pilots, new software, and new technology solutions through models, documentation, and code Leads the IT technical implementation, and ongoing enhancement of new software and technology solutions Set technical foundations and standards for Application Program Interfaces (API) between .MBTA paratransit system and third parties Ensures IT infrastructure architecture represents current and future business requirements Leverages data analytics and visualization tools to inform day-to-day decision making Works with third party vendors and development teams to execute strategy and day-to-day activities Maintains effective liaison with private sector companies, academic research institutions, peer agencies, and other industry groups to stay abreast of industry technology trends Collaborates with other departments within the MBTA, including Information Technoiogy and Customer Technology, to enhance the delivery of services Perform related duties and projects as assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field Four (4) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience Experience with software implementation Strong project management background Advanced knowledge on Cloud solutions Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite Effective organizational, analytical, time management, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills Ability to supervise and work effectively with a diverse workforce Ability to pass: background screenings and the MBTAs medical requirements, including a physical examination and drug and alcohol screening Ability to travel to locations throughout the MBTAs service area Commitment to MBTAts diversity and inclusion goals PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Technology and/or Transportation industry certifications and memberships Transportation Industry software implementation experience Transportation industry-specific technology and software experience (dispatch and scheduling systems, ridesharing platforms, logistics software, etc.) Software development experience Public procurement experience SUBSTITUTIONS INCLUDE: Fifteen (15) years of work experience may be substituted for the BS/BA ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS NEEDED: A   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
