Project Manager Quality Assurance SDLC Manager (Jobs in Chelsea, MA)   Requirement id 4567 Job title Manager Job location in Chelsea, MA Skills required Project Manager, Quality Assurance, SDLC, Open Date 26-May-2011 Close Date Job type Not specified Duration 12 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type Phone Screen and Face to Face interview    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Manager: Project Manager, Quality Assurance, SDLC, Close Date: 06/13/2011 05:00PM Initial Duration: Starting on or about July 5, 2011 through June 30, 2012 at an average of 40 hours per work week Major Responsibilities • Provide overall strategic guidance and leadership regarding a Quality approach that can be implemented within DOR/CSEs current IT structure and can position DOR/CSE for the full implementation of the COMETS HD Program. • Provide guidance and make recommendations to the COMETS HD management team regarding the Quality approach for COMETS HD. • Ensure that the policies, processes and standards for creating work products are of high quality, effective, well-documented and stored in a repository accessible to all staff • Minimize the cost of poor quality through establishing suitable quality checks throughout the lifecycle, detecting problems as early in the lifecycle as possible • Identify proactive actions to reduce the number of bugs as part of tracking bug history and trends, and ensure recurring problems are addressed by root cause analyses, validated by ongoing audits and testing • Ensure that the work products produced are fit for the purpose planned • Ensure that testing is effective and timely • Raise awareness of the importance and benefits of high quality to improve performance • Establish standards (e.g., responsibility within the SDLC, potential QA audits) • Audit work processes and products (e.g., requirements reviews, code reviews, system testing) • Establish a repository for all process documentation (e.g., Audit Reports, Checklists, templates) • Verify that corrective actions have been completed • Sample work products to determine compliance with standards • Report on findings • Participate and lead in the creation of the Quality portion of the Project Management Plan for large projects, and take responsibility for QAs role in that plan • Communicate outcomes, metrics and trends to the Operational Steering Committee and the Project Team   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
