Major Accountabilities: • Plans, organizes and manages medium to large projects (up to 3M USD), including budgets and contingency, identifies need for supplemental funding. Makes strategic decisions for the organization specific to the management of scope, budget and schedule across projects and programs. • Ensures project is delivered within approved budget, schedule, and contingency and meets quality standards. • Applies PM methodology, tailoring it as appropriate, to successfully manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality and communication. • Facilitates identification of project/program risks, develops and assigns responsibility for mitigation actions, manages mitigation plan. • Effectively manages scope through a documented and enforced change management plan. • Proactively improves the project timeline through schedule management and progress tracking of schedule and budget. • Plans and manages project communication to include; facilitation of IT Steering Committee and other meetings, motivation of project team to reach goals and milestones, and resolution of conflict within the project. Makes strategic decisions for the organization specific to the management of communication across projects/programs. • Works with product owner to ensure scope is explicitly defined and documented and maintains integrity of scope. • Negotiates with product owner to obtain key resources or materials. Requirements: • Minimum of 3-5 years experience managing projects and programs up to $5MM USD. • 3+ years of experience developing and mentoring others. • Consulting experience is a plus. • Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodology and SDLC. • Demonstrates competency in project management processes, including planning tasks and allocating resources, risk, issue, time, financial, quality and HR management, team leadership, monitoring and reporting, documentation and record keeping. • Basic understanding of program management. • Strong oral communication and writing skills, including formal presentations. • Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, mentoring and personal management skills • Ability to organize and manage matrixed teams. • A technical background sufficient to understand the technologies and technical issues involved with the project and industry, to be able to anticipate and identify technical obstacles, and to make accurate technology decisions.
