The client is in the process of building out an IoT (Internet of Things) Platform for the rest of IT to leverage. The goal is to build a repeatable and scalable solution. We need an additional team member that can immediately contribute to the number of project tasks at hand. We are a small team of 2 Engineers and a manager working together to work through a backlog of challenges as we develop this solution. Required Skills: Candidates must have the following: #1 – Deep experience with Internet of Things device management, configuration, or connectivity at scale #2 - Experience with cloud-based infrastructure as a service platforms such as: AWS (Preferred) Google Compute Engine, Azure, or OpenStack #3 - Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as: Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, and Terraform #4 - Some background in IT Security would be a plus, not required • Deep experience with Internet of Things device management, configuration, or connectivity at scale • Experience in IoT security - hardware, operating systems, software, and connectivity • Experience with IoT Management platforms (Amazon IoT, Microsoft??, Google…, or others) • Experience with a variety of networking protocols – Wifi, 5g, LoRA, BLE, etc. • Experience with automation, infrastructure as code, automated application deployment, monitoring/telemetry, logging, reporting/dashboarding • Experience with continuous integration and deployment technologies such as: Jenkins CI, Drone, Github, and Artifactory • Experience with container technologies such as: Docker, Kubernetes • Experience with test-driven development frameworks for application and infrastructure code • Ability to use code to self-document requirements of the stack • Ability to create clear and detailed technical diagrams and documentation • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure as a service platforms such as: AWS, Google Compute Engine, Azure, or OpenStack • Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as: Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, and Terraform • Experience with development using GitHub and/or VSTS • Experience using and contributing to open source projects • Experience with Linux and/or Windows systems administration • Experience with measurement & telemetry for infra, application, logging, APM, and UX • Experience with an agile mindset • Terraform • Github workflow • CI processes (e.g. Drone) • Docker • K8s • AWS • IoT (ideal, but not necessary) • Python and/or Go • Ansible   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
