Job Description: 45% - Automation / Orchestration Development - Participate in the designing, implementing and supporting infrastructure automation, virtualization automation, and systems automation through vRealize Orchestrator. -Perform workflow analysis and design of automation opportunities for other departments. - Continuous support of the automation toolset, standards, policies and workflows 15% - System Design and Planning - Assist faculty and management staff in the analysis of Information Services options to meet research and educational needs as they relate to server technology. - Work with users at various level of the organization to determine requirements for operational needs and information processing options. 30% - System Operations Support - Assure existing systems and orchestration is functioning properly and processing effectively - Contribute to a server administration support infrastructure. - Assist with automated disaster recovery planning, testing, implementation, and maintenance - Collaborate with team members on configuration, state and application management through Salt. - Work with end users during transition and implementation stages of automation. 10% - Professional Development & Other Duties - Develop and maintain expertise in technologies to support the research administrative and operational needs of the program - Suggest new projects and initiatives - Participate in college and campus IT committees and other educational or development opportunities as deemed appropriate.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
