Responsibilities: - Make recommendations for the best way to proceed with enhancement and/or modification taking it from concept to implementation by using various techniques (e.g. rapid prototyping). - Write or modify code for decision-support solution development and/or modifications including, but not limited to, compiling the code; copying, creating and altering files and workspaces while considering refactoring needs and other technical faculties for programming purposes. - Participate in the formation of business plans and forecasts and provide answers to questions about business data to appropriate business units; therefore, strong verbal and written communications are required. - Build internal Consumer Marketing Data Mart, bringing in demographic data and credit variables on prospects on all US households. - Develop an internal dashboard/data mart to be used by analysts including but not limited to the Media team. - Develop a long-term big data strategy and tools (i.e. Cloud, Hadoop). - Responsible for increasing analyst output by eliminating the inefficiencies resource drain from analysts ETL - Provide back up (business continuity) for the existing BI Developers. - Code SSIS packages, API interfaces and Big data cloud infrastructure to replace existing SAS ETL, develop and maintain data warehousing and support the design-development-testing-implementation of new/existing BI applications. Required Skills and Experience: - Experience in AWS Services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, ELB, Aurora etc. or with any public cloud technologies - Ability to exhibit programming experience / skill (Business or IT languages - Python, Scala, Java. Experience with more than one language is a plus) - Experience with designing and implementing APIs to transfer/consume large datasets - Python with Flask/Django/Request libraries for API and Web development - Ability to work with databases directly or via ORMs for both designing and querying the data. - User interface and visual design skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) - Familiarity with business processes and systems knowledge - Working knowledge of application development life cycle including CICD experience - Strong interpersonal skills - Demonstrated ability to create and deliver communications (written and verbal) and presentations - The ability to work in a team-oriented environment - Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities; time management and organizational skills Preferred Skills: - SQL Server a big plus (SSIS, SSRS, PDW) - Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Information Systems and/or Traditional Sciences   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
