Typical Day in the Role · Ability to draw inferences from process details and link these inferences to the big picture by considering business objectives in identifying process improvements. (Forecasting) · Work effectively with process/functional leaders to identify and develop business process improvement opportunities. · Establish visualizations and diagrams for the team to better understand the data captured in the reporting. · Translates business requirements into technology solutions. Clearly defines and communicates targeted functional solution via functional design specifications. Verifies technical designs satisfy functional requirements. · Supports data conversion. Performs the extract, load, and validation of converted data. · Uses data queries to support validation of data conversion and test results. Candidate Requirements · B.S. with concentration in quantitative discipline – Statistics, Math, Comp Science, Engineering or similar field · 1 - 2 years of work experience in applied analytics, software development or engineering · Foundational knowledge of statistics, coding, data mining and manipulation, including familiarity with programming languages, tools and relational databases (e.g., SQL, R, Python, Oracle, RDS, Redshift, Excel) · Ability to drive to insights and create visualizations, including knowledge of Tableau or Power BI · High levels of intellectual curiosity and ability to work independently · Passion for problem solving and developing new solutions quickly · This person needs to be able to understand both business process and technical details of the tools we are using and must be able to communicate technical concepts to the business in a way that is easy for them to understand. · No real dis qualifiers as long as the base skillsets are met.
