Build Engineer will be maintaining and developing build and integration tools in both ad-hoc and continuous integration environments which will include application building, running tests, and generating reports. Client environment is very fast paced and this person needs the ability to build and manage multiple releases and patches, in some cases daily. Minimum of 3 or more years experience as a Software Build Engineer a large, complex, and mature software application. Summary: • Create, automate and support software builds and releases on schedule and on demand, including some off hour support. • Improve and maintain tools for the software release processes in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) • Coordinate with project management, development, and QA teams to ensure right builds are deployed to the right environments at the right time • Develop, maintain and document build scripts and other applicable tools used in the release process to manage software source code, software configuration, and facilitate build process, code coverage, static analysis, packaging, deployment, and a variety of testing activities driven by development and testing teams. • Assist in administering source control and development servers. • Management and merging of release branches in the code management system. • Manage deployment of software from development to integration and testing environments • Implement, advocate, and enforce build and release standards and conventions • Must be familiar and have experience using both Visual Source Safe and Team Foundation Server.
