This individual develops the testing strategies and generates test data to perform the manual testing. Same data sets will also be used to perform automated testing. The individual should be self-motivated, creative and proactive, able to work successfully in a fast-paced Agile program, with multiple environments and technologies. The individual will work closely with other Agile Team Members/Scrum Team Members, Business SMEs, other QA Test Engineers, stake-holders, executing test iterations, tracking / reporting results and troubleshooting. Individual must have strong understanding of SDLC processes, the QA lifecycle, Agile, DevOps and SQL. Scope of Activities: The QA Test Engineer (Agile) will demonstrate competencies in these job responsibilities: • Designs test cases to include all steps and expected results in a format which can be executed manually or can be used for Automation • Interprets business and system design documentation and write test cases which provide complete requirements coverage • Ensures proper linking of test cases to developer tasks, requirements, stories and or defects • Executes test cases and record results properly to include screen shots; defect management • Provides QA expertise on tasks and estimates/sizings to the Agile lead/Scrum Master • Participates in design discussions/sprints to remove issues before they are coded • Responsible for creating and executing test design, test cases and scripts, verification/validation, systems integration testing and performance testing • Works with the business to pull real world scenarios which will be transformed into test data/test case scenarios and ensure same test data can be used across manual testing and automation scripting • Works with Developers to determine when test results are not expected results as per specifications • Partners with vendor to execute and or the Business to track and resolve testing issues by holding defect management meetings with involved parties • Reviews defects for validity and priority with Scrum team • Learns to use current testing tools/applications and contributes to overall testing effort using the current management systems in place • Ensure adherence to standards and best practices (e.g. enterprise testing standards, etc.) • Reports on Test Coverage estimated work efforts • Ability to write status reports for themselves, projected risk analysis and next steps in work effort • Aligns test schedules to meet project time line testing expectations • Determine test data needed for execution and identify data gaps in test environment Required Credentials and Experience: • Project related knowledge and or DHHS Benefits and or Assistance related experience • Experience in software testing: functional, non-functional, integration, regression, negative and user acceptance or related experience • Knowledge of test planning, test case creation, test case execution and regression test suites/scheduling • Experience in performing Smoke, Functional, Integration, Regression, Browser Compatibility and End-to-End Testing • Good knowledge and experience in manual and automatic software testing methodology, test development, and test execution Preferred Credentials and Experience: •Experience delivering presentations to varied   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
