Job Description Engineer: QA Testing, ERP, SQL Queries, SDLC QTP

Description:

Technical Lead QA Engineer (Oracle Application EBS 11i):

The Lead QA Engineer should possess strong testing skills (including test case design and automation), experience testing Oracle EBS 11i(eBusiness Suite)application, excellent project management skill, and automation skill. The tasks include designing test strategies and test plans, automating functional and performance test cases, developing and reviewing test cases, and leading test execution efforts with remote QA teams.

Responsibilities:

· Evaluate and review software requirements with Developers, Business System Analyst (BSA) and Remote QA team to define a release test plan to thoroughly test the products.

· Lead QA project planning and execution across multiple IT/Engineering projects with remote QA Team.

· Co-ordinate and manage the QA task between on-site and offshore QA team

· Generate and write clear and concise Test summary reports, and weekly status reports.

· Communicate regular updates to management and key stakeholders on test progress and product quality.

· Define the areas to automation in the project and drive automation effort.

· Enhance our current automation tool set and improve utilization of automation wherever applicable

· Assist in the planning and implementation of QE team strategy and process improvements

· Assess our current processes and test coverage, recommend improvement

Skills Required:

· 6+ years QA experience in testing Oracle application.

· Knowledge of ERP process, Quote to cash, Order to Cash, process is required.

· Testing experience with Quote, Order Management, Tele service, Install Base, service contract, AR, Finance module is required.

· Experience in testing interfaces/integration with other business application.

· Experience in writing SQL queries on Oracle and Oracle 11i Tables are required.

· Experience on data validation of the ERP Conversion is plus.

· Techno functional knowledge is plus.

· Good knowledge of SDLC.

· 2+ years of experience in leading testing project with remote QA team.

· Strong test case design skill.

· Experience in designing automated functional and performance test cases

· Experience in working with test tools such as JUnit, WinRunner/QTP, LoadRunner

· Excellent written and spoken communication skills

· Work effectively with geographically distributed teams

· BS in Computer Science or comparable field
