Job Description : Position: Business Systems Analyst Location: Portland, ME Duration: 9 month contract Seeking a technically savvy Business System Analyst to serve as a strategic partner between business clients and technical development staff. This person will participate in a cross-functional team to collect and define Business requirements and translate their needs into functional design documents that are fed into the delivery teams. This is a great opportunity to stay close to both customer and code while providing functional, technical, and process leadership on complex and high priority IT projects. The role is perfect for a results oriented individual who likes to partner actively with business clients and likes to get their hands dirty with system design, configuration and testing. Prior experience with design, development and database technologies is highly desired. Cross functional collaboration and organizational agility are a must! Responsibilities: Build strong relationships with internal business and technology groups Collaborate with the Technical Delivery Teams to define and document requirements for system enhancements Collaborate with the Product Owner and Technical Lead for efficient delivery of prioritized enhancements and system requirements Work with peers to identify and implement system consistency and improvements Supports enterprise-wide compliance with standards, processes and policies Drive testing efforts in QA and support production releases as required Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures including writing and maintaining user documentation Participate in team agile ceremonies Requirements: Bachelors Degree or military experience At least 2 years of experience working with financial systems applications At least 2 years of experience as a systems analyst or at least 2 years of experience as a systems integrator Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Information Systems or Bachelor Degree in MIS or Bachelor Degree in Finance 2 years of experience with SQL RDBMS 2 years of experience with Windows batch scripting 2 years of experience with Unix Shell Scripting 2 years of experience working within an Agile methodology 2 years of experience designing financial applications from customer requirements 2 years of experience implementing financial applications 2 years of experience building regulatory reporting solutions   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
