Lead project teams and manage activities associated with projects that typically cross platforms, applications, and/or business lines. Work with business partners to understand problems, develop requirements, develop technology concepts, design alternatives, project schedules, and costs for new systems initiatives. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets and run regular project status meetings. Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, significant issue management and resolution, and communication with business lines and technology management levels. Responsible for coordinating and influencing activities and resources in support of one or more highly-visible, large-scale technical projects with high impact, risk, and complexity. The person in this role will manage multiple Data Warehouse hardware and software upgrade projects as well as server refreshes and decommissions. Qualifications 7+ years of technology project management experience Strong project management abilities focused on successful and timely execution. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with team members at all levels. Ability to work independently, handle several projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Project management experience in infrastructure build & implementation and software upgrades Experience managing large open system server installations & upgrades Experience managing geographically dispersed technical project teams; such as, Unix system administrators, DBAs, vendor technical resources & hardware/software architects and engineers Knowledgeable and able to communicate with technical staff on subjects such as databases, server components, network, SAN, and open system operating systems (Unix, Windows, Linux) Preferred Qualifications: Previous Wells Fargo experience Knowledge and experience working with Large-scale RDBMS experience, preferably Teradata. Data warehousing application experience highly desired. Knowledge and experience with Ab Initio, AIX, Linux, BI tools (Microstrategy) Experience in financial services industry PMP Certification Project examples: Migration of Datastage to Ab initio: Migration of hundreds of datastage jobs across multiple application teams.
