Description : SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: The Replacement Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) project is one of the largest IT projects for the State of South Carolina. It is a multi-year effort to replace the States aging MMIS and related applications with more modern capabilities along with corresponding business operations services. DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: The Software Engineer will support the Enterprise Services organization by creating secure solution configurations in two key areas: • Platform Services The Platform Services division is responsible for implementing the platforms and systems to establish key technology capabilities for all Enterprise Architecture components including the SCDHHS Portal, Integration Hub, and Enterprise Data Services. The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing security configurations of platform and interoperability solutions that focus on standards-based authentication, authorization, and secure operating controls. • Development Operations The Development Operations division is responsible for developing solutions to support the integration of agency components with the Enterprise Architecture and Replacement MMIS systems including business and data services such as Provider, Eligibility, Claims, Encounters, and Payment subsystems. The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing the security configuration for software solutions that focus on standards-based authentication, authorization, and secure operating controls. Responsibilities • Design and Perform security configuration for new and existing solution implementations against solution designs to identify and resolve software vulnerabilities and/or weaknesses. • Develop roadmaps for security configuration implementation for software and platforms to meet compliance with solution designs, TRA standards and compliance requirements. • Participate in the assessment of current and emerging technology with a focus on security capabilities and impact to, or deviations from, approved solution architecture. • Work directly with development staff to integrate security configurations in a containerized, continuous deployment environment. QUALIFICATIONS: Five or more years experience in securing complex enterprise solutions within a service oriented architecture with specific experience including: • Standards-based focus on system interoperability using service oriented components • Demonstrated ability to create complex security architecture designs and provide solutions as repeatable, standards-based implementations • Demonstrated ability to create architecturally sound security implementation strategies and roadmaps • Proven experience developing and deploying secure software solutions for enterprise-level implementation projects REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): • Experience with Enterprise portal application implementation patterns • Experience with identity implementation standards and patterns • Experience with middleware component implement patterns for capabilities as defined in the TPP and TRA. • Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL database platform security implementation architecture • Experience with mutual certificate authentication • Ability to create solution architecture diagrams using modeling tools such as Microsoft Visio • Ability to create   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
