Job Description : Sr. Quality Engineer 6 Month Contract, St. Paul, MN We are seeking an Engineering Sr Analyst - QA who will thrive in our fast-paced, results-driven, collaborative, and team-oriented organization. In this role, you will lead the product test strategy, lead its automation strategy and best practices within an agile team, and integrate with DevOps processes for Securian Financial products. Key Responsibilities Accountable for ensuring overall product and integration quality. Lead efforts to define, refine and articulate the testing strategy required to support the project. Deliver test automation within agile delivery teams. Provide metrics to establish baselines and track quality and efficiency improvements over time. Provide quality thought leadership and creative ideas to support the successful delivery of projects. Ensure automation code quality, leveragability, and maintainability through code reviews, standards, etc. Promote and recommend practices to further Continuous Delivery & Continuous Improvement Collaborate closely with all stakeholders on a given project to move the quality strategy lower in the test pyramid, considering: code, design, and requirements quality, leveragability, scalability & performance, maintainability, and product integration. Establish a culture for quality, including a “shift left” focus for finding defects sooner and discussing defect root causes and ways of preventing future defects. Coach and provide technical leadership to others on the QA team. Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills: Experience in one or more programming languages, software engineering methodologies, and software quality tools: Web API, REST JavaScript, Jest, Java, Junit, HTML5, CSS, JSON WebDriver IO, Postman, Newman Cucumber, Jasmine VSCode, Eclipse, IntelliJ, GitHub Jira, GitHub, Jenkins Distributed logging, distributed data stores Experience with developing, writing, and executing robust test scripts. Strong technical aptitude and experience with the software tools and techniques used in software development and automated testing. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience implementing testing best practices and influencing teams for continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into test strategy and test cases, estimating Agile testing tasks. Effective time management, ability to plan and prioritize work effectively. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build solid relationships with team members.
