We are seeking an extremely motivated Java Services Developer as part of an Enterprise Architecture and Services team. As part of a development technology team, analyzes business requirements and problems and drives research to design quality technical solutions. This individual will be involved in portions of the full systems life cycle (based on experience/skills) and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Responsibilities: 1. Analyzes system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems. 2. Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code. 3. May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities. Remains current with new technologies. 4. Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation. 5. Provides technical advice and assists in solving programming problems. 6. Assists in preparing project plans using project management tools. 7. Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage. 8. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 9. Solid experience designing and developing enterprise class applications 10. Experience working in fast paced environments 11. Experience with extreme programming 12. Code lover, should be responsible for design, documentation and code reviews 13. Team player Skills: • Experience as Java developer in Financial Services industry (preferred, not required) • Minimum of three (7) years of experience in designing and building high performance applications using GoF Design Patterns, Java 8+, Spring Framework, SpringBoot, JPA/ Hibernate, web services – REST/SOAP, J2EE, SOLR/Lucene, Oracle PL/SQL, Caching e.g Apache Ignite, UML, Mockito/Spock, Junit, Maven, Security Patterns, JSON, JBoss, Dyntrace, Event Processing • Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns and Distributed Caching – Apache Ignite • Distributed architectures, strong OO background, SOA, web services and messaging paradigms. • Designing debugging tools used for profiling/optimizing performance • Minimum of two (4) years of experience working in continuous integration environment leveraging open source tools such as Jenkins, Gatling, Git • Some experience in report writing software. • Understanding of the SDLC lifecycle for agile & waterfall methodologies • Excellent written and oral communication skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
